Suns Win Big Vs. The Lakers
Author: Hayden Barto
The Phoenix Suns collect a must-needed win versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Tonight’s 127-100 victory showed that when healthy the Suns are a true contender.
This team with Kevin Durant has a record of 9-1. Tonight may have just been their best game with the big three. Devin Booker led the team with 26 points, followed by Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant with 23 points each.
Bradley Beal made his return back alongside Durant, and he sure made his presence felt. While leading the Lakers halfway through the fourth quarter, Beal had himself a highlight reel play, with an emphatic block on LeBron James. When healthy, Bradley Beal has been great for the Suns this year. He’s provided scoring and defense and shined in every role that the Suns have needed him in this season.
With this win the Suns improved to 10-7 on the season and they are now 2-1 in the In-Season Tournament. Another big part of the victory is that this is the Suns’ second time beating the Lakers this season, meaning this could help a lot down the road.
